UNO DAY | See how IVYIANS tribute to United Nations Day?

October 24 is the 73rd United Nations Day, on which IVY held the theme of "United Nations Day" to celebrate the school's multicultural and international spirit, to cultivate students'awareness and sensitivity to other cultures, to enable students to learn in a fun-loving way, and to experience the peaceful coexistence of all countries in the world.

John, our principal from England, attended the event in a Scottish dress. He told us about the origin and significance of UN Day. He hoped that his classmates would love peace and understand the importance of peace and friendship. 195 countries, 195 cultures, the world is a multi-cultural community, human beings share a common destiny and breathe, living on the same earth, under the same blue sky.

In the following game contest, the students sat around and began to work on the world map. Some students were in charge of the European part, and some students were in charge of the Asian part. We earnestly spelled out a complete world map. Teachers also prepared questions on the theme of United Nations Day to examine the relevant knowledge reserves of IVY's small partners, such as "The United Nations was founded in that year" and "What are the permanent members of the United Nations?" The students who were divided into groups sat on the stage, wrote the answers quickly on the white paper and answered the questions posed by the teacher calmly.  

In the talent exhibition of UN Logo, students skillfully draw UN Logo images, carefully depict, intentionally daub, and express deep emotions with simple pictures. The olive branch symbolizing peace sets off our common homeland, the earth, and implies the maintenance of world peace and security.

In addition, there are innovative costume display, IVY partners with both facial value and talent show their elegant demeanor. Students who like sports move sports elements to the stage, such as basketball, football, table tennis and badminton, leisure sport costume, handsome gestures and movements. Everyone carefully deduces the sportsmanship of IVY. Next on the dress show, people dressed in their own tailored clothes, but also with leaf plant elements to dress themselves, the main color of white with green and red leaves, let you think of the symbol of peace of the white dove and olive branch. Teachers also came to show off, the local hero's comedy show made everyone laugh.

Of course, there must be talent show on such an important day. The talent show on IVY's stage is also original. Some students read poems while doing a word of horse, some students said a piece of B-BOX, some students danced a cool and beautiful modern dance, some students sang a warm and romantic song, and some students showed her unique talent - paper-cut art. This talent exhibition of different types and styles shocked them all and won the teachers and students off the stage. There were bursts of applause. Finally, at the award evaluation stage, the judges selected the best performers in everyone's mind. The teachers awarded them prizes and congratulated them on their performance.

At noon, teachers and students together made delicious pizza, and noodles, side dishes, fermentation, baking, a dish of fragrant pizza out of the pot, we enjoy the production of labor together.

To cherish peace and protect peace, IVY UNO Day ended perfectly. The successful holding of this event made students know more about the history of the United Nations, increased their deep understanding of "peace and development" and love their own nation, while respecting the culture of other countries.
