班級(jí)定義

我?，F(xiàn)有Foundation (基礎(chǔ))，Pre-IGCSE (IGCSE預(yù)科)，IGCSE，A-Level四個(gè)班級(jí)。

Our school has Foundation, Pre-IG, IGCSE, and A-level four classes right now.

Foundation Class

基礎(chǔ)班，目的是為學(xué)習(xí) IGCSE課程提高英語能力。課程以英語課為主，分別從聽說讀寫四個(gè)方面全面提高英文水平。擁有專業(yè)詞匯課，為IGCSE專業(yè)課程提供詞匯基礎(chǔ)。我校規(guī)定入校學(xué)生都從基礎(chǔ)班開始課程，通過學(xué)生表現(xiàn)進(jìn)行能力評(píng)定靈活調(diào)整班級(jí)。原則上學(xué)制為一個(gè)學(xué)期，可以根據(jù)學(xué)生的能力和進(jìn)度靈活調(diào)整。

Foundation class is for the students who want to take IGCSE later to improve the English ability. The class is mainly composed of English class, including the practice from reading, speaking, listening, and writing. There is a special vocabulary classes designed for foundation class to provide them basic vocabulary. Our school requires the students to start up with foundation class. Then, based on the students’ performance to evaluate students’ capability and then adjust the class accordingly. Plan of the foundation for the students is one semester and it can be changed based on the students’ ability.

Pre IGCSE Class

本班目的是為學(xué)習(xí)IGCSE課程進(jìn)行鋪墊。班級(jí)課程設(shè)置與IGCSE班級(jí)課程一致，現(xiàn)階段開設(shè)課程有英語、數(shù)學(xué)、化學(xué)、物理、信息交流技術(shù)（ICT）和商務(wù)。所有參與IG的學(xué)生都必須先進(jìn)入Pre-IG課程之中。本班級(jí)授課相對(duì)于IGSCE班級(jí)，過程較簡(jiǎn)單進(jìn)度稍慢。原則上學(xué)制為一個(gè)學(xué)期，可以根據(jù)學(xué)生的能力和進(jìn)度靈活調(diào)整。

Pre-IG class is for those students who want to take IGCSE class but the level is not high enough. The class setting of the Pre-IG is the same with that of IG. For now, our school has English, Math, Chemistry, Physics, ICT (information and communication technology), and Business Study. Majority part of students who want to take the IGCSE class will join the Pre-IG class at first. This class is slightly slower than the IG class. Plan for the Pre-IG class is one semester and it can be changed based on the students’ ability.

IGCSE Class

IGCSE班級(jí)學(xué)習(xí)是一個(gè)可以拿到國際認(rèn)可中等教育證明的學(xué)習(xí)過程，在本過程中能夠通過CIE考試拿到高中畢業(yè)文憑?，F(xiàn)階段我校開設(shè)的課程有英語、數(shù)學(xué)、化學(xué)、物理、ICT和商務(wù)6門課，本課程學(xué)制為兩年，可以根據(jù)學(xué)生能力靈活調(diào)整。

IGCSE class is a process that a student can earn the certificate of international school. In this class, the students are able to get diploma by taking CIE exam. Currently, our school has English, Math, Chemistry, Physics, ICT (information and communication technology), and Business Study. This class is two years study and it can be changed based on the students’ ability.

A-level Class

本班級(jí)作為大學(xué)預(yù)科班級(jí)分為AS 和 A2兩個(gè)階段。國外的大學(xué)都是要求所修課程3-5門的成績(jī)，我校推薦選擇4門進(jìn)行考試。本課程原則學(xué)制為2年，但是學(xué)校爭(zhēng)取在1年內(nèi)完成。時(shí)間可以根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況調(diào)整。

A-level class is primarily designed as a first year college level course, which is divided into two parts: AS level and A2 level. Universities aboard requires about 3-5 A-level exam grade. Our school recommends to take four exams. We intend to decrease the amount of time of A-level in one year while the other schools recommend two years to finish it. It can be changed based on the students’ ability.
