The Assessor of the American Sailing Association (ASA) Visited IVYThe American Sailing Association assessor, coach as well as the Captain Brown Ken recently came to Weihai IVY and delivered a lecture about sailing, shared with all the teachers and students what he saw in the voyage, and conveyed the spirit of the sea with passion and adventure. Captain Ken Brown's legendary experience encouraged all the audience. He encouraged young people to be adventurous, to explore the nature, to be brave enough to challenge the impossible, to broaden their horizons in the wind and waves. In addition to share his personal experience in sailing, Captain Ken Brown came here for the certification of IVY application for the ASA sailing school. After this certification, Weihai IVY will become the only international school with a non-profit ASA training certification. Students' experience of sail training on campus will become an important part of their resume for future college applications. The American Sailing Association is the leading organization of global sailing and navigation. It specializes in the teaching and certification of sailing and navigation related technology and ship art. So far, more than 200,000 people have learned the skills of sailing at all levels through the ASA licensed sailing school and certified sailing instructor. The ASA certificate is approved by more than 185 countries. Textbooks use both Chinese and English languages. After passing the exam, the United States certificate will be issued. |
