Recruiting Homestay in Weihai and providing zero-distance to learn western cultureNowadays, as more and more Chinese parents know the importance of developing the international thinking, they hope their children to learn English and the western culture in order to communicate with foreigners actively. Therefore, the Ivy International High School organizes overseas students to join the sailing summer camp in order to promote the study abroad experience camp in the US and UK. It doesn’t only provide opportunities for Chinese students to learn the western culture more deeply, but also could let the international students experience an ancient Oriental Culture. This kind of idea called “Come in and go out” strengthens the interaction between Chinese and international students. The Ivy International High school will recruit 11 Homestay families in order to build a communication platform for the Chinese students to have a zero-distance contact with foreigners before they go abroad. The international student who lives with Weihai families could experience a traditional Chinese lifestyle, at the same time; the Chinese students could improve their English level. We hope our students could accept the western culture and learn the etiquette knowledge for the sake of broadening their horizons in the future. |
