Ivy fleet won the championship!

Recently, two days of "Island Cup 2015 Weihai International Regatta” successfully concluded. More than 200 competitors from China, South Korea, Britain, the United States, Germany, Australia, Canada, China, Macao and other countries and regions, came for same field athletic, which set three new records in the history of Weihai sailing event,  - the most competitive projects, the largest participating vessels, the largest event.

According to the organizing committee, this events were set with Flying Tiger class sailing, HOBIE class sailing, laser leidier level sailing, Op level sailing. Among them, the flying tiger class sailing and laser leidier are the first time appeared in Weihai yacht race. The host, Ivy International Yacht Club staff, said, "to constantly enrich the ship types is a direction of the development of Weihai sailing events, As for this event, flying tiger sailing and laser leidier level sailing, provides a competitive platform for more sailing enthusiasts, also benefit for the people of different ages to find their own favorite and sailing projects."

There are 3 local sail fleet participated in this event, among which Ivy fleet won the HOBIE18 level sailing, Harbin fleet won the HOBIE16 level sailing. Ivy fleet is organized by Ivy International Yacht Club, with athletes Yu Xianyang and Brendon. Xianyang used to be windsurfing athlete in Shandong Province, once 6th place in the Asia Pacific HOBIE level sailing Championships. Brendon, from Canada, now is the sailing teacher in Weihai Ivy international school.

Ivy International Yacht Club, established in 2010, belonging to Ivy International School, is located in the beautiful scenery of the Moon Bay area. Besides sail training for their own students, also have they held for five consecutive years of campus activities, in which nearly one thousand primary and secondary school students have been trained for free. Moreover, club has introduced and assisted  Weihai Municipal Government to host many international large scale sailing events, making an outstanding contribution to raise Weihai International Image and to promote the Sino foreign cultural exchanges between young people.
